Background Information:
Angiopoietin-2 (ANGPT2) is a modulating antagonist of angiopoietin-1 (ANGPT1) and TIE2, binding to TIE2 and competing with ANGPT1. Can induce tyrosine phosphorylation of TIE2, and may facilitate endothelial cell apoptosis and vascular regression through loosening of cell-matrix contacts. May also contribute to angiogenic signaling via stimulation of endothelial cell migration and proliferation. Provided as 25 μg of dry powder alongside reconstitution buffer.
