Background Information:
Oncostatin M is a pleiotropic cytokine that belongs to the interleukin 6 group of cytokines and acts as an agonist for OSMR. This human protein functions in growth regulation; inhibits the proliferation of a number of tumor cell lines; stimulates proliferation of AIDS-KS cells; and regulates production of cytokines (including IL-6, G-CSF and GM-CSF) from endothelial cells. Provided as 10 μg of dry powder alongside reconstitution buffer.
